February makes me lazy..
Yup. I feel like I haven’t done a single thing this month. Well, I have managed to wreck the house (again), but that happens about twice a month anyways. I need to fill out and send in a rebate from January. I need to do my taxes. I need to finish up my little projects. I need to save money to pay off the last of my credit card bill. I need to save money for new toys.
About the only thing that I have done this month has been going to hockey games. I got plenty of those in before the stupid three-week Olympic break. Other than following the scores, I really haven’t been into watching the Olympic hockey these winter games. The US isn’t doing as well as I had hoped, Finland is undefeated, and Canada has one loss (to Finland). At least one of the Preds is on the Finnish team (Go KimmoTimmonen!).
BRB…doing taxes. Taxes done!
BRB…doing rebates. Done! Also inquired about missing rebate from a few months ago.
So, I should be getting a little over $400 in the mail over the next month or so. I think it may be time to pay off that credit card and buy a new cell phone soon!
Other than that, February feels wasted. We’ll be having a LAN party this weekend. Unfortunately, I can’t get my new cabling run by then. I also need to get a mini-rack and some patch panels. Just another project I’ll delay on and won’t finish. : /
Among things to do, I need to get the new ChattaLAN server set up. But, I’m having problems with that and haven’t been able to make much progress. Jails are just being a pain the arse, but it’s the only way to get what I want done.
And, to top it all off, this time next week, I’ll be in New York City trying to get some sleep before the NABA convention we’re going to stream. I have everything set up and packed already. Fortunately, we’ll be able to do a good test run the day before the event. So, other than sitting in a room for hours and watching a laptop, it should be pretty smooth. Hopefully, I will get a chance to go see Ken and hang out for a little bit, but since we’re not spending much time there, I don’t know if I’ll be able to break away from work.
Alright, time to go to bed. Just thought I’d give a little update. And, while writing this, I thought of a new project to start writing. Oy…
