More Site Updates
I have rolled out more stuff on the site. Stuff you can’t see, such as the admin section. And then, stuff that you can see, such as more feeds on the right (including del.icio.us and Flickr) and links to friends’ web sites. Also, I made a tag cloud generator that I can use with any feeds that provide tags. They take a few seconds to generate and load (as I don’t have the tag feeds caching yet), so I put in a link that you click on that then loads the block via AJAX. I need to add a few of my Last.FM feeds, but it was down earlier today, so I couldn’t get the feed URLs. I also need to add in caching for those feeds and some error-handling in case the feeds go down for any reason. I fixed a couple of bugs and added in error-handling for the recent tracks feed in the top right.
I also created a script that easily allows me to roll any updates from the dev site to the live site in just one command.
For now, though, I need to get ready for the LAN party!
